Day 1Chiang Rai - Arrival

  • A Hanoi Voyages representative will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your arranged accommodation where check-in time is 2:00 pm.

Day 2Chiang Rai - Highlights

Begin the journey of the Northern Thailand by discovering Golden Horse Temple and Golden Triangle:

  • The Golden Horse Temple where fights drug addition with horses and boxing in Chiang Rai
  • Drive to Mae Sai and its colourful border market with Burma, where you can find all kinds of local products.
  • Visit Opium museum where the Thai opium’s history in the past will be told/ will be exposed

Day 3Chiang Rai - Mae Salong - Fang - Wat Thaton & Hill

Take a drive to the Mae Salong and the “land of brightly coloured poppy fields” – the infamous Golden Triangle:

  • Hike up and down the green hills, covered with tea plantations
  • Taste the delicious tea produced by one of the many plantations of the region
  • Stroll through villages of ethnic minorities: the village Akah of Loyo, and the village Lisu of Ban Hanygo
  • Visit the Mae Fah Luang botanical garden
  • Cruise along the Mekong river to witness the lively assembling of 3 countries at Golden Triangle

Day 4Fang - Tea Plantation & Lahu village

Head to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace: built during the Ayutthaya era. Appreciate it’s beauty and fascinating architectural features that are blended by European, Khmer, Thai and Chinese style (eclectic collection).
Take a journey to Ayutthaya, roam the remaining temples and palace of the ancient Thai capital, also known as the “Venice of the East” on a tuk-tuk ride:

  • Ancient Palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet
  • Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat (with a Buddha face emerging from a tree)
  • Stroll local market

Day 5Fang - Angkhang

Take an hour drive to the Angkhang:

  • Visit Wat Thaton Temple
  • Travel up to Mount Doi Angkhang to visit the station project Royal Doi Angkhang and planting flowers and fruits characterized by cold climate
  • Visit hill tribe villages: village of Ban Khum

Day 6Fang - Chiang Mai - Arunothai & Chiang Dao Caves

  • Enjoy the stunning mountains backdrop on the way to Doi Angkhang National Park
  • Visit Chiang Dao Cave, there are four interconnected caverns to see. Be prepared to bend down and perhaps even crawl between incredible stalactites.

Day 7Chiang Mai - Doi Inthanon

Travel to the Southwest of Chiang Mai, we head to Doi Inthanon National Park and hike up the highest peak of Thailand. The area is covered with lush green forest, waterfalls and the drive up the mountain rewards you with amazing views. The main attractions of the Park are two temples built on the peak of Doi Inthanon, surrounded by beautiful gardens and even more amazing panoramas.

  • Trek through the jungle following a narrow mountain trail which leads us to a stunning hidden waterfall in the middle of lush jungle
  • Pass through a coffee plantation, flowers farm and rice terraces
  • Meet Keren people in Pagagayaw village
  • Visit the architecture of Napamaytanido Chedi and Phra Mahatat Npaphon Bhumisiri which build to honor the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit

Day 8Chiang Mai - Highlights

Chiang Mai, is a place where past and the present seamlessly merge with modern buildings standing side by side with venerable temples and just one stone’s throw away from downtown leads to a densely rainforested countryside interspersed with waterfalls

  • Visit most beautiful temples: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Phan Tao, Wat Chedi Luang
  • Stroll along narrow streets lined with traditional houses on a rickshaw ride
  • Walk through the central market of Warorot
  • Climb up the Doi Suthep hill where located one of the most sacred temple in northern Thailand – the Wat Phra Tha Doi Suthep

THE CULTURAL SIEM REAP – ANGKOR WAT 3 days/2 nights

Be enchanted by the awesome Temples of Angkor and the history of Khmer Kings discovered at the magnificent UNESCO Heritage site.

Day 1 – SAIGON – FLY – SIEM REAP   Settle into a flight from Saigon to Siem Reap. Arrive and be welcomed by our guide and be transferred to your arranged accommodation. Overnight in a hotel with breakfast.

Day 2 – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR THOM – TA PHROM – ANGKOR WAT   Arriving in Angkor Wat, you will rove among the ruins of the world’s most famous Hindu temple complexes, built for gods, and fit for kings: Baphuon (a temple in honour of another Hindu deity, Shiva) with its spectacular layered structure, the Terrace of the Leper King with its beautiful carvings of gods, nagas, and dancers; the Royal Enclosure and its small and particularly significant temple, Phimeanakas. Overnight in a hotel with breakfast.

Day 3 – SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI – BANTEAY SAMRE Advance to an off-the-beaten-track site, an hour away from Angkor Wat, encountering stunning Cambodian countryside and uncovering more temples: visit Banteay Srei, called the citadel of women and come face to face with the meticulously restored enclosed temple of Banteay Samre, complete with carvings of lions and nagas. Overnight in a hotel with breakfast.

Day 4 – SIEM REAP – TONLE SAP – Departure Travel to Tonle Sap and find yourself surrounded by a completely aquatic landscape, see how everyday life is transformed by its proximity to and dependence on water. Free time until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight
