Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival

Day 2: Hanoi - City tour

  • Visit the One Pillar Pagoda

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong - CRUISE and NIGHT on board

  • Transfer from Hanoi to Halong Bay by private car with tour guide
  • Halong Bay with its 1969 islands is set in beautiful turquoise waters and was recognized for its natural beauty by UNESCO in 1994, and classified as a World Heritage Site
  • Receive a welcome drink on boarding
  • Install in private cabins
  • Start the cruise while enjoying lunch
  • Lunch is served from a delicious seafood menu while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay
  • Admire the beautiful landscapes
  • Enjoy paddling around Cap La and Tra San by kayak

Day 4: Halong - CRUISE and NIGHT on board

  • Enjoy a kayak cruise through the hidden lagoons and geological park in Cong Dam

  • Take a visit to Cong Dam fishing village
  • Cruise back to Cong Do for swimming or kayaking
  • Enjoy a tasty dinner in a cave

Day 5: Halong - CRUISE - Hanoi - TRAIN - Sapa


Halong Bay

  • Breakfast will be served under the morning sun
  • Visit Thien Canh Son cave
  • Enjoy swimming
  • Lunch on board the junk will close this beautiful cruise
  • Disembark from the junk
  • Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
  • In the evening take a night journey to Lao Cai
  • Overnight on train

 

Day 6: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van

  • Arrive at Lao Cai Train Station very early in the morning
  • Refresh in a provided bathroom and have breakfast
  • Transfer by private vehicle to Sapa for a day of hiking to meet ethnic minorities in their homelands, in the heart of rice fields
  • Visit the village of Y Linh Ho in Muong Hoa valley
  • Trek for about 6 kms through landscapes of terraced rice fields to Lao Chai village, home of the Black H'mong minority group.
  • Meet people proudly dressed in their distinct identifying costumes
  • Walk a distance of 2 km to the Ta Van Giay village inhabited by other ethnic groups
  • Transfer back to Sapa
  • Overnight at hotel in Sapa, breakfast included.

 

Day 7: Ta Van - Bac Ha market - Ban Pho - TRAIN - Hanoi


Bac Ha market

  • Transfer by private car from Sapa to Bac Ha
  • Attend the Bac Ha Area Market, probably the most colourful market in all of Northern Vietnam with local handicrafts, rice wine, fresh fruit, meat and live animals
  • Pay a visit to the H’mong Kings House (King Hoang A Tuong), built by the French in 1920
  • Visit Ban Pho village and meet with the colourful Tay and H’mong inhabitants
  • Journey back to Lao Cai passing many tea plantations and small villages
  • In the evening take a night journey to Hanoi
  • Overnight on train

 

 

Day 8: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park - Van Long

  • Very early morning arrival in Hanoi station
  • Meet with guide Hanoi
  • Breakfast at the Vietnamese, composed of a pho
  • Depart for the Cuc Phuong National Park, the largest nature reserve in the country.
  • Visit the center of the park
  • Visit Vault primates
  • Walk for the 1000 year old tree and the cave of prehistoric man that is preserved evidence of life primatif man dating from 7000 to 12,500 years.
  • Road to Van Long
  • Take a Very nice boat ride through flat bottom peaceful landscapes prints of Van Long
  • Overnight Emeralda Resort in Van Long including breakfast.

 

Day 9: Van Long - Tam Coc & Bich Dong - FLY - Hue

  • Head for Tam Coc town, known as ‘Halong Bay in the rice fields
  • Board small sampan and traverse the Ngo Dong River through the rice fields
  • Enter three sacred caves, the Tam Coc Caves
  • Have lunch in Tam Coc town
  • Take a small bike ride towards the Bich Dong Pagoda
  • Enjoy the exceptional view of the whole site
  • Return to Hanoi in the afternoon
  • Transfer to the airport for a flight to Hue
  • Overnight at a hotel in Hoian including breakfast.

 

Day 10: Hue - City tour


Imperial Palace Hue

  • Visit the Imperial Palace, where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945
  • See Khai Dinh’s tomb
  • Enjoy a lunch of Hue’s unique, spicy cuisine
  • Visit Tu Duc’s Mausoleum
  • Enjoy a cruise on the gentle Perfume River
  • Visit the Thien Mu Pagoda on the river bank
  • Visit a conical hat and incense-stick making village and the Dong Ba Market

Day 11: Hue - Hoian - City tour

  • Travel by private car from Hue to Hoian via the Hai Van Pass.
  • Visit the Museum of Cham Sculpture in Da Nang on the way.
  • Discover the five Marble Mountains, each named after a component of the planet; Fire, Wood. Iron Water and Earth
  • Enjoy a delightful stroll around the ancient town, and discover the reasons why UNESCO bestowed World Heritage rating on the town.
  • See the 400yr old covered Japanese Bridge, temples, pagodas, museums and other architectural monuments

Day 12: Hoian - Tra Que Village - Cooking Class - FLY - Siem Reap

  • Take a Cooking Course, then enjoy the fruits of your labor for lunch.
